Family Of The Month Synopsis
The Knights of
Columbus have always been interested in the development of strong, vibrant
families. In support of this philosophy and to create an even greater
awareness of our many fine families, the Supreme Council instituted the
“Family of the Month” program in 1978.
The Family of the Month should be a family that lives
traditional Christian family values and deserves recognition for doing so.
Typically, the families chosen share the following characteristics:
- The family has made significant contributions to
the Church, community and/or council.
- The family enjoys and celebrates each other.
- The family shares experiences.
- The family communicates openly and honestly.
- The family prays and attends Mass together.
