Letter from the Bishop of Bridgeport, Supreme Chaplain. He is asking us to read his column that is posted monthly in the Columbian magazine..Also asking if our lecturer could present or reflect on his

 

 

Ø       Movie Warning….”The Golden Compass” “I want to Kill God in the minds of children” Author Philip Pullman….Stars Nicole Kidman.. Pass the word to Christian Families they should not attend or support this Author, His Books Or Movie

GRAND KNIGHTS MEMBERSHIP AND FINANCIAL STATEMENT.COUNCIL STATUS “IN GOOD STANDING”

 

Hi Jason,

Just a point of logistics for Dec 23 when the living nativity is going on at the same time you are having youth group...

Living Nativity is from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, but it usually runs over till 8:00 pm. 

The youth will have to park in the upper parking lot - the lot for the church and walk down to Monihan Hall CAUTIOUSLY at the cross walk.    The traffic for the Nativity comes in at the light, turns in front of Monihan Hall, then goes past the gym and the parish center and the back of the convent and then exits back out at the light.   There is not supposed to be any stopping.

Would you please announce that to the group?

Jerry,

I just wanted to thank you and the Knights for not only helping me with security the evening of the Gym Re-dedication, but also pitching in to help wherever needed. Some helped hand out waterbottles, some helped with trash, some helped with crowd control, one stayed until the very end and helped me to clean up the food, deliver food to the convent and take all the trash out to the dumpster.

They were amazing, and I just wanted to tell you and them, how much I appreciate their kindness.

..

Ø       Coal…Our council lost $300.00 as they went uncirculated to Knights. Second year in row our council lost money..suggest we move from budget and focus on other events

Ø       First degree night for four new members. January 6, 2008 St. Joes, Downingtown

Ø       Lou Mancini….double by-pass surgery successful. Pete Cavilier to arrange dinners for Lou and Regina…through Knights and Alpha Group

 

 

15.   New Business

Ø       -We have a lot on our plate …..Let’s do it well.. First and second degree St.Joe’s, Basketball Free throw, Quizzo Night, Golf…..and to continue to change our image with the Parish with new recruits..
